¹⁹ So then, when the Lord Jesus had ^(A)spoken to them, He ^(B)was received up into heaven and ^(C)sat down at the right hand of God. ²⁰ And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.]]

[[^[a]And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And after that, Jesus Himself also sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation.]]

The Ascension

⁵⁰ And He led them out as far as ^(A)Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. ⁵¹ While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven. ⁵² And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy, ⁵³ and were continually in the temple ^[a]praising God.

The Ascension

⁹ And after He had said these things, ^(A)He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight. ¹⁰ And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, then behold, ^(B)two men in white clothing stood beside them, ¹¹ and they said, “^(C)Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who ^(D)has been taken up from you into heaven, will ^(E)come in the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”

The Upper Room

¹² Then they ^(F)returned to Jerusalem from the ^[a](G)mountain called ^[b]Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a ^[c]Sabbath day’s journey away.
